Bling Watches – too much?

So I was out with a few friends for a night and one of my male friends was wearing a bling watch with diamonds running around the whole face. Well I say bling watch it was more like a bling clock.
Standing out too much

I’m all for completing an outfit with an accesory such as a watch but when people in the room can see the watch before they see the white of your eyes surely something is wrong.
And it’s not just guys. Ladies watches can be a bit excessive too. A few diamonds are fine but you shouldn’t be reflecting more than the disco ball overhead.
Positives about Bling
I don’t want to come across so negative. I have seen people pull off bling and when they do it looks really well. I think you have to limit the piece and still don’t go overboard on the object you pick.
If you wear bling on your fingers and bling on your toes the problem is is that you cheapen the pieces effect. Bling by it’s nature should stand out, hopefully in a classy way, and the problem is how does bling stand out in a mountain of it.
Remember too that when buying a piece to look for something that looks classy first and stands out second. I would also suggest that the usual rules on buying a good quality piece apply. I good quality watch will always look better blinged up. After all you don’t want the item that stands out on you to look cheap.

Say hello tothe Hublot Million Dollar watch. But don’t look directly at it or risk being blinded by its 493 diamonds!
This my friends is ecactly what I was on about when I say classy first stand out second. If you seen that photo and felt the urge to buy it you need serious help. No seriously seek help!
